Tartarugas marinhas em São Tomé | Projeto de conservação apoiado pelo Oceanário de Lisboa

PROJECTS DISSEMINATION

Sea turtles were born to stay. With an unique armor, they  swim in the oceans since the time of the dinosaurs. For centuries they were sought after for their eggs, meat, fat, skin and shell, which led to the decline of several populations.

The Oceanarium takes an active role, financing and supporting two conservation programs developed in São Tomé  e  Príncipe by the Association for the Protection, Research and Conservation of Sea Turtles in Lusophone Countries (ATM).
